Dr. Sushma Chawla had her basic degree in Medicine from Maulana Azad Medical college New Delhi in the year 1973. She is in family practice, Gyane & Obstetrics, since 1981 and running her own clinic under the brand LifeCare. She was on panel of various corporates and was the Chief Medical Officer for important financial Institutions like IFCI, IFCI Venture Capital Funds Ltd., IFCI Factors Ltd. for 28 years, IDBI Bank for 22 years, TFCI, PGCIL, PTC, BBMB, Bhartiya Mahila Bank, UTI Investor Cell, UTI Banks, SEBI.
On corporate level
she has been organizing camps for Diabetics, Community health, mass vaccinations, family welfare programme. She is also organizing seminar on Stress Management and health education programmes.
She has attended various national and international conferences in India and abroad in the field of medicine.
She is the Founder President of “Hope Ek A.S.H.A” – an NGO registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 in the year 2001, dedicated to the care of Senior Citizens suffering from Alzheimer / Dementia (Memory Loss) and their caregivers through its dedicated team of medical professionals, volunteers and has completed 23 years of service to the humanity.

she has been organizing medical camps for regular check-ups, memory screening, for Diabetics, Community health at. She is also conducted Mass Awareness programme on Alzheimer’s to make aware the people of this diseaseand provided Skilled Training the family & professional caregivers in the field of Elder Care / Alzheimer’s Care.
She is running an “Affectionate Secured Home for Alzheimer’s” (A.S.H.A.) at B - 4 / 51, Safadrjung Enclave, New Delhi – 110029. This home is one of the first of its kind in the capital of India at Delhi.
The aim of this Home is to give a quality and a dignified life to the patients of Alzheimer’s disease and provide respite to the caregivers.
She has attended various national and international conferences in India and abroad in the field of Alzheimer’s / Dementia and was invited as a plenarily speaker and presented 2 papers on the subjectin USA.
